What are those black bandages for?

I keep seeing people who use what seems to be black bandages around their nose bridge?..
I have no idea what it is but I've seen multiple and everyone I see wearing them is apparently into looksmaxxing.
Is this just a joke people are using online or is there actually are actually a reason for it?/ benefits?

its normal tape because they couldnt bother to get real face tape

it may change your nose slightly if you use it 24/7 for like a decade during puberty

To breathe they're breathing tape. Opens ur nose I use them when exercising helps intake more oxygen. Especially ppl with deviated septum
