Seen mixed opinions, supposedly white sugar spikes insulin levels which stimulates igf-1 levels.
However, there's the obvious takeback of sugar, that it's bad (in high amounts) for overall health and diseases such as diabetes.
And for the supposed effects of igf-1 to be apparent, you need to eat unhealthy amounts of sugar (200g+ daily)

youre 30, you wont grow anymore, and sugar is bad for u

I'm 30/2 (giving you some homework) and it does spike igf-1 levels which leads to growth
however there's the obvious drawbacks of the health concerns

all im saying is very chubby/fat kids are usually tall and grow to full potential...
not a well researched answer but its the best answer i can give

It works but it’s dumb

as seen in this article it is common for hinter gatherers to consume around 2000cal a day of just pure honey, therefore it is feasible that a high sugar diet is optimal as hunter gatherers largely represent natural human behaviours. However i presume that if u eat such a high proportion of calories from sugar and live a sedentary lifestyle u will likely tank ur testosterone and get diabetes

Cope tbh.
The logic is real and it works in theory, not denying that.
But you have to trade off your health periodically and decend hard.
Not worth it for marginal gains

Insulin probably won't increase total igf-1 levels (may even reduce them) but will increase levels of free igf-1 due to reduction in the synthesis of IGFBP-1

Igf-1 from hgh and igf-1 from insulin acts differently on chondrocytes
Igf-1 that is stimulated from gh will mainly cause chondrocyte proliferation and doesn't have much maturating effects, whereas igf-1 that is stimulated from insulin will mainly cause chondrocyte hypertrophy and ossification based on the current stage of the chondrocytes. It can even push chondrocytes into premature hypertrophy or even ossification depending on hormonal profile, genetics and where you are in your puberty because insulin has pro-maturing effects and accelerates growth plate closure

I think the only possible positive effects would come at the later stages of the puberty when the proliferative phase of the chondrocytes are over and chondrocytes start to go into expanding/hypertrophy phase. And by maximizing insulin you could theoretically maximize chondrocyte hypertrophy and this could give you a few extra inches at that last stage of puberty where u try to squeeze as many inches as possible
I would start slow and then progressively increase the insulin load and see what happens
And obviously there are many healthier ways to get high insulin levels (e.g rock sugar, honey, maple syrup, fruit extracts..) compared to refined sugar

adding to this, pablo (the guy who started this whole discussion basically, atleast recently) said himself to not do this and was basically a meme

he took a lot of roids; he also just had a unique diet with a lot of sugary foods

if you are gonna do “sugar theory” you probably need the roids and gh secretes to make it worthwhile lol.

the key to his progress wasn’t the sugar while roiding, he just happened to eat a lot of sugar while roiding
