Hi hi hiii, so, I’m fucking tired of spending way too much money on makeup only for it to look like shit, so I was wondering what advice people might have on here before I go ask at a Sephora and buy something I won’t use.

I’m tan+olive toned (white Mediterranean??) and spent a majority of my makeup life thinking I’d look like shit with blush, cause I thought I ‘couldn’t naturally flush’. I can, it’s just only happened about two times in my life, but my dumbass legitimately thought I couldn’t blush cause of my ‘complexion’ until about a year ago.

anyways, I don’t flush as usually that people with pale complexions do, buttttt…in the summer months, I look great with a fresh sunburn, it just balances the middle of my face and contours my nose really good, but what blush could I buy in the winter to replicate that sort of look?

I had bought some liquid blush drops to try a few months back, but I’m not gonna lie, they kind of look like shit. they blend in way too easily, making me look like I’m just generally pink all over my face. I want something that looks natural, but also doesn’t blend so much so that it’s unable to contour and contrast to the other parts of my face if that makes sense.

I want a clean, natural look, but I don’t know if powdered products would make me look cakey. Can blush even look cakey? I don’t know, I’ve barely used blush all my life.

I have no idea where to start. any advice on products, texture/makeup types to use, or techniques for that sunburnt look would be veryyy appreciated 😛

I retain a blushing look on my cheekcbones and undereye area for roughly 3-4 hours if I combine training + boiling hot baths. Only side effect, they make me look like a minor.

Should be enough for a date or a night out or some pictures.

Haha I really don’t flush easily, even from hot baths or working out. It only happens if I’m having an allergic reaction or seriously embarrassed 😭

W Technique start at one cheekbone, go over the bridge of your nose, and reach the other cheekbone. This is precisely the area where the sun heats the skin (high points).
To prevent the blush from spreading everywhere, apply the product by dabbing it with your fingertips, don't spread it with a brush. This way, the pigment concentration stays in the center and provides the contrast you want.

Cream-to-Powder: Easy to apply like a cream, but once set, it stays put like a powder.

Stain-Effective Products: Gel like products that color the skin, blend completely with the skin.
