What causes this shit (high iq needed)

When im not at my leanest i find that in some photos i can look pretty good but in others i can look pretty bloated

Kinda like rashford in these two

In the first he looks lean but in the second he looks bloated asf and these pics were both taken on the same night probably about 40 minutes - 1 hour apart from each other

How is this possible, what causes the difference and how can i consistently fraud like the first pic so that whenever im not lean i dont automatically become chopped

Solution
It's literally just the angles (second photo is taken quite close to his face), with the combination of him smiling as the user above pointed out.
You also answered the question in the question itself. 'When im not at my leanest i find that in some photos i can look pretty good but in others i can look pretty bloated' so it's to do with being bloated or not along with angles and lighting - at the same time you're giving too much credit to the bloat/lean tiktok hype train. Overall weight matters much more, just be a lean individual.

Probably cuz he smiled on second pic so it squishes his cheeks + light angle
