But how can we be sure you'll be able to have this luxury? You're assuming that this'll get rid of capitalism, or at least promote it to late-stage capitalism.Utopia for me, for slave money chasing cucks it's prison.
I'll just be generating anime for my own amusement. Hopefully the VR technology is going to improve as well, so I can live in some fantasy world tailored to my taste.
Sure, there'll be some Luddite-tier resistance, maybe some neo-hippy movements crying about muh "humanity," but it won't matter. Human curiosity is too strong. No one's pulling the plug on this.
I think UBI is inevitable outcome. Sure it might sting on the short-term but it's bound to happen (if AI becomes as good as in your premise)But how can we be sure you'll be able to have this luxury? You're assuming that this'll get rid of capitalism, or at least promote it to late-stage capitalism.
For all we know, the 1% will be living like that, while we live mundane lives. I pray that this will be the reality, but we can't gamble on humanity.
Yeah, that's the only viable way I can see the future being viable (still through capitalism).I think UBI is inevitable outcome. Sure it might sting on the short-term but it's bound to happen (if AI becomes as good as in your premise)
This is for first world countries (small ones) first. I don't see how a big country would be able to construct UBI without turning to a complete mayhem. Luckily I reside in Finland so I really don't care what goes on in the US or places where inequality is evident, but GDP is strong.
Yeah, I think those are good concerns but they don't stop the inevitability, they'll just shape how chaotic the transition will be.Yeah, that's the only viable way I can see the future being viable (still through capitalism).
But there are problems:
Where will we get the money? By trading with other countries? Why would we have to do that if we can sustain ourselves?
Should everyone get the same income? If so, why? Will this not cause item shortages?
How do we account for people who already have a giant account of wealth? Billionaires will rule over us?
There are so many problems and issues we'll need to face and remedy before considering UBI. But, ultimately, yes, that will be inevitable. The problem we'll face is not AI, but the human reaction to a loss of power.
