what if death is just the end of one layer of reality and the start of another

so what if death isn’t actually an end but just a transition between layers of existence like when we die, we’re not just gone we’re just shifting into another layer of reality that we can’t perceive while we’re alive like maybe we’re always dying and being reborn in different forms across different layers of the multiverse, constantly cycling through this process until we unlock some deeper understanding of existence
