Apparently students don’t even watch movies in class anymore. Saw some post in r/teachers complaining about it.yeh and just blast movies and videos all class period n shiii
the cool teacher that doesn't give homeworkThere’s so many types of teachers. Be honest!
damn rlly, things must have changed since i graduated high school in 2013Apparently students don’t even watch movies in class anymore. Saw some post in r/teachers complaining about it.
Oh boy admin would be on my ass for that.the cool teacher that doesn't give homework
Yeah, things have changed a lot. It’s really wild these days. I notice it too at my placement. When I was in 7th grade, we were all quietly listening to the teacher. Today’s 7th graders? They need to have their behavior corrected more often than you think.damn rlly, things must have changed since i graduated high school in 2013
i'm surrounded by 18-20 yo's they def need to get checked harder than i remember.Yeah, things have changed a lot. It’s really wild these days. I notice it too at my placement. I spoke to this new-ish teacher at my placement, he teaches the juniors and seniors. And I was like oh I bet your students are really hard to tame and stuff. And he’s like nope, these guys are nothing like that, they actually pay attention. He said it’s the younger students that are troublesome. It’s so funny because back in my day, it was swapped. Younger students paying attention, older students goofing off.i'm surrounded by 18-20 yo's they def need to get checked harder than i remember.
7th grade English!what grade you teaching gengar

In Pakistani schools, teachers can beat their students. Some students have been beaten to death. And teachers in Pakistan get a lot of respect, they’re never disrespected by the students. Tell a western teacher this and they would never believe you, it’s just so foreign to them (not being disrespected, that is). Anyway, I study and plan on working in The Netherlands. I was joking about the candy p
in my first grade religion class my teacher would call on me to read first knowing i wasn't literate in arabic to mock me and set an example of a poor muslim, this happened everyday, and after he would mock me and humiliate me he would make me stick my hands out infront of me and he'd hit each joint of the finger with a yard stick, even today i have issues with my fingersIn Pakistani schools, teachers can beat their students. Thank you! Most teachers seem to hate them. They need a lot of behavioral correction. My mentor teacher keeps them in check often. I don’t remember my 7th grade class being like that at all, back in the late 2000s.Oh Wish you luck. most 7th grader ive seen are insufferable

I have to do a lesson for them in May, I know they’re gonna rip me a new one.all 7th graders are insufferable i couldn't stand teaching a kid that would be like me in 7 grade
religion teachers made me atheist for 15 years of my life@sknlu yeah that happens even here, when I went to the mosque for Quran classes here in the Netherlands, the teacher would also beat students. Some students he beat really hard. Like blood steaming down their face kind of hard.
i always hear stories about how kids would get beat if they recite one word wrong@sknlu yeah that happens even here, when I went to the mosque for Quran classes here in the Netherlands, the teacher would also beat students. and they would never correct, just belittle and abuse keki always hear stories about how kids would get beat if they recite one word wrong
I also became atheist because of those Quran classes.religion teachers made me atheist for 15 years of my life
i only found islam again when i read rumi and ibn arabiI also became atheist because of those Quran classes.
Yep. Some shitskin is beating kids for mispronouncing things in a totally different script they’re used to. The same shitskin I’m talking about cheated on his wife and divorced her later on and moved back to Pakistan. Just lol.i always hear stories about how kids would get beat if they recite one word wrong
but you are muslim again right?I also became atheist because of those Quran classes.
I also came back to Islam but it was after traumatic experiences, like suddenly losing a loved one.i only found islam again when i read rumi and ibn arabi
Yes! See this;but you are muslim again right?
I also came back to Islam but it was after traumatic experiences, like suddenly losing a loved one.
impossible to ignore God when he is in everything, everywhere, all the time all at onceI also came back to Islam but it was after traumatic experiences, like suddenly losing a loved one.
sounds counterintuitive but try to be the "cool" nice teacher if you want their respect. Back in 7th i would only try to annoy the teachers I hated most and id actually shut up in my math class where i had a teacher i truly liked. Then again i go to a small rich school and im overseas so take this with a grain of saltI have to do a lesson for them in May, I know they’re gonna rip me a new one.
fuck bro they really have to replace the crying react. it looks like im laughingI also came back to Islam but it was after traumatic experiences, like suddenly losing a loved one.

alhamdulillahYes! See this;
I agree. Studying Islam myself made me more pious than being forced to go and learn something in a language I don’t understand.impossible to ignore God when he is in everything, everywhere, all the time all at once
did u say ur teaching english btw ?Like, does that mean I don’t really give them homework and stuff?
Thank you for the advice! I’m actually thinking they’re gonna walk all over me because of me being the teacher who isn’t strict. I already had some of the students sticking up for me after another student (who isn’t in my classrooms) was apparently disrespecting me haha. And it was only my third day there. I posted about it on .org. Do you wanna read it?sounds counterintuitive but try to be the "cool" nice teacher if you want their respect. Yes, that’s correct. English. But as a second language; so there’s less focus on trying to understand the deeper meaning of texts like native speakers are being taught.did u say ur teaching english btw ?

Yes! I’m studying to become an English teacher. Currently doing my internship at a high school. I’ve never gotten this far before. I would always drop out after a few days or weeks. I always went out of my comfort zone; having had to record myself for assignments (in the past, I would drop out if this was required of me). New decade, new me. Literally. Doing everything now that I should have done in my twenties. Better late than never. Are you becoming a teacher?![]()
