whats a good laptop for school, not too expensive

@slenderpill this was a joke DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, get an old Thinkpad. I can't give you a specific model but if you only need it for school and want it to last make sure it;
  • Isn't a gaming laptop
  • Has at least 6 CPU cores
  • Has least 12 GB of memory
  • Has at least 256 GB of storage
  • Uses an SSD for storage
  • Has a metal chasis
I'm not an Apple fan but if you are able to use MacOS I'd seriously consider an Apple silicon Macbook. Are there any specific applications you NEED to run?
