this 100% + some people wear makeup so much they might not even have pics without it or js dont want people seeing that version of them yk? and yes im speaking from experience

idk I look the same with and without it tbh but that's cuz I don't wear too much, but I wish I had the skills to do cool stuff

i used to think this way too but not anymore. i mean unless its insane catfishing makeup, you should still be able to see a person's flaws.

you can usually tell what the flaws in a face are with makeup still on. no makeup will cover actual flaws in your bone structure or fat distribution. cameras can do that with the help of makeup, but thats it. in real life, the face proportions you see on women with makeup is the same as without it

makeup is essentially softmaxxing. when some users send their face here, many are just given the advice to dye eyebrows or emphasize lashes or fix coloring. so, i can see why some people send pictures here already "softmaxxed". perhaps its sort of a way to skip the advice they already do, and to get new advice on the face that the public sees them as (with makeup on).

i think camera angle/lighting fraud is worse and can actually fake way more. but of course i would say posting pictures with no/little makeup is best
