what's the point of presentations in schools

I have to give a presentation in class soon and I'm lowkey scared because me and my partner had 2 months to work on it but we locked in and finished it like in the last 5ish days or so. Plus the teacher he scares me i'm pretty sure he has man periods because sometimes he nice and other times he has the wrath of thanos himself. Plus the only reason I'm presenting is to inform other ppl about info they will need on the exam like cant they just research the info themselves? I feel like a jester every time I have to present a project bro.
