This is called the wounded wolf situation. Women are biologically wired to choose men who appear strong, independent, and emotionally reserved. When a man withholds affection from the world but gives it to her alone, it signals she’s “special”.

This is why a lot of females have the “I can fix him” syndrome. Women want to be meaningful and to be the source of emotional healing for a man. It makes her feel irreplaceable.
