Flat, jet black (1.0 / jet black): Can make you look harsher and more tired than you are. Sharpens facial features (requires daily makeup).
The "blacks" that will suit you
Soft black
Dark espresso / very dark coffee
Dark coffee with a slightly cool undertone
It gives a dark effect, but it doesn't suffocate your face. It's a little more likely to go back.
But my personal recommendation is
Dark chocolate / espresso = same effect + safer
If I were you I'd dye my hair 1-2 shades dark brown, almost black, let it recover for 2-3 months, and then if I wanted, I could switch to blonde with less damage.
