Why’d everyone lie to me about acne scarring

I did some research and apparently a mix of adapalene and azelaic acid head the pih/ dark scarring marks according to dermatologists. Why did everyone try to steer me wrong? Sabotage perhaps?

according to my research glycolic acid wouldn’t do much to help me and might irritate my skin but that’s what everyone told me to use…

This does help with hyperpigmentation but it’s not gonna do much ok it’s own lmao
Need to pair it with a retinol

That’s because it’s too harsh for their baby skin
Retinol was originally developed to help with acne it just also happens to have anti aging benefits
Use sunscreen and you will be fine I’ve been using it for ages

A lot of the scarring that I want to get rid of is on my chest and shoulders anyways like I have it on my face but that doesn’t bother me cause I wear so much makeup

I might think about that if I’m unsuccessful but the one thing my mom won’t pay for is cosmetic procedures

o em gee i’m sorry it worked for me but it also may be bc of my complexion. still for hyperpigmentation ill always recommend turmeric tho
