why are people attracted to only specific races?

I see this a lot in white and asian ppl at least at my school. But for example how come ppl will prefer someone of their race that is not as attractive as someone of another race? Or people who hate on their own race and will only date another specific race? Me personally I don’t have any racial preferences cause it just doesn’t make sense to me

yeah I feel the same way I really couldn’t care about the race of the person but for some reason everyone at my school really cares? They also are only friends with ppl of their race which I find weird as well. I also agree with the kid thing I’d want my kids to be a mini me but it’s very unlikely
