Why are you as a white guy christan ?

I grew up Christian
I appreciate the teachings
I personally find comfort in the belief in God
Prayer genuinely makes me feel better
I have seen so many aspects of God in my life
I'd rather believe in something rather than nothing
I've seen sets of evidence pointing In God's existence and non existence, so I chose belief
It makes sense to me
Makes more sense to me than other religions upon examination.

Funny how Jesus also taught to live in the moment. Even prayer teaches you that God can only be spoken to in the true present. Most religious beliefs have a name for this experience it's a state of being

The power of now by ekhart tolle was a good book I recommend all to read.
 
Bible banned the consumption of raw meat and blood, not that I really do that anymore, but thats interesting. Perhaps just them realizing the safety mechanisms, or its something to enslave. Pick your interpretation I guess

I did research on this, and you've interpreted this wrong. Those commands were old testament jewish teachings that no longer apply to followers of Jesus. After he came, he sort of overwrote the rules in a way.

There's old testament and new covenant, I know the most about this, lmk if you guys have questions, but yeah that's a Jewish thing like you said

I guess so. For the rest of natural philosophy it goes against nature, doesn't allow for revenge but made up forgiveness, and can't commit violence or stealing
