Medical advice on the Internet lies to you

The most common example is when you read something about calcium the only thing those medical articles are going to tell you is “calcium is an important mineral for bone density and tooth health, lack of it can lead to fractures and osteoporosis”. That's it. Nothing more.

It's funny because once you start reading about physiology in depth, you will be amazed at how some things that are underestimated are actually much more important.

Calcium is one of the most underrated substances in conventional medicine.
Calcium is involved in vascular contraction, vasodilation (increased nitric oxide synthesis), muscle function, nerve transmission, intracellular signaling and hormone secretion.

In fact it is one of the minerals we lose when we perspire.

Ca also increases central dopamine synthesis through a calmodulin-dependent system.

Calcium reduces the Thyroid antagonist: Parathyroid hormone.

Thyroid increases calcium excretion and parathyroid hormone (PTH) increases calcium retention.

During a calcium deficiency, PTH increases and the thyroid decreases. Chronic calcium deficiency can lead to hypothyroidism, as PTH has an antimetabolic effect.

Discuss it in this post

Chronically elevated PTH also leads to fat accumulation and insulin resistance. (I mentioned this here)

Chronically elevated PTH leads to hypercalcemia in the blood. This effect suppresses the release of growth hormone (HGH) and can lead to growth retardation.

PTH has many other effects, such as causing mast cells to release inflammatory promoters, such as histamine and serotonin, and decreases mitochondrial efficiency (reducing energy production) and causes bicarbonate to be lost in the urine (making the body more acidic).

Calcium can also inhibit prolactin.

Acidic cells are catabolic and cannot grow. Therefore, alkaline minerals such as Ca, Mg, etc. can promote anabolism.

There are a lot of other things that calcium is crucial for, but you get the idea.

In summary: if you are dairy intolerant, then you can use eggshells or calcium carbonate, and eat 2-3 raw egg yolks a day to get vitamin K2, and be sure to expose yourself to the sun for about 30 minutes at noon.

Isn't it gross to eat eggshells?
first boil it for 10 minutes and then dry it in an oven for another 10 minutes and then grind it into a powder that you take half a teaspoon and has no taste

I had also read that the eggshell membrane had collagen and hyaluronic acid but in obviously small amounts.

yeah because nobody gonna be reading a million different great things about calcium
Medical advice on the Internet lies to you
They didnt lie about what you just said, bhai

all of this may be true, point is that all vitamins are important and serve a big function, otherwise we wouldnt consume it. no vitamin is just simple muh bones or something. they're ingrained in our biology, we require vitamins exceedingly so, and we use vitamins in our body. of course we use vitamins in our body to create things. it is not a surprise.
no need to over consume it
if you have a balanced diet incorporated with dairy you dont need to eat eggshells bruh

Eggshells aren’t meant to be consumed but this is an interesting thread, nice job aguachento 🙏

I feed my chickens boiled eggshells mixed into their food in order to fix them going through periods of not laying but I doubt I would ever eat them, great thread otherwise

with lie in I refer to present a superficial appreciation as for example the vitamin C

they tell you that it is simply good for the immune system but it is a vitamin that has many functions other than simply having a good immune system

and not the recommended dose of 90mg is VERY little. that is not even enough to carry out all the functions that it has

The example of calcium is that the recommended daily dose is 1000 mg.

how many liters of milk would we have to drink per day to reach that?

i get >1000 mg a day
the upper limit is 2000mg
why are you trusting mere sources on the internet just eat healthy
and it is water that a vitamin has more than one function, it would be retarded if not

"The bioavailability of calcium from this source, as tested in piglets, was similar or better than that of food grade calcium carbonate.

Eggshell powder has positive effects on bone and cartilage and that it is suitable in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis."
