Why do babies and toddlers always cry on planes?

I mean flying is pretty unique.

The ears popping, the feeling of taking off and landing, the crowd, the feeling of being so high above the ground, et cetera.

All humans are innately fearful of heights.

When you're a toddler or baby, it might be hard to differentiate between being in a plane and dangling off of a cliff.
