Why do men hate women who look masculine?

For preface, I am a masculine looking woman. And it's obvious that I am a lesbo, but on some threads I've posted on, especially on Reddit asking for advice, I've gotten nothing but men telling me how exactly I should look, and the drastic changes I should make to my appearance to appeal to the male gaze. Talking about how I should get implants, change my style (which I am), take my piercings out, even stop going to the gym.
Even when I'm confident about my appearance, some men will blatantly say "don't be confident, you look like a boy"

I thought we were ahead of this, but apparently not.
