Cause gods existence doesn’t mean constant visible intervention, it’s not even what most religions teach and religious people don’t see god as some vending machine that grants every prayer on demand. Faith is trusting that there is a purpose beyond what we can immediately see
And wdym godless life? Many people experience god through stuff like love, meaning, beauty, sacrifice, hope, etc etc

Also life and death feels different if you believe that humans are created by a god, cause then every life has inherent value even when the world acts like they don’t
