Why do people get annoyed I text or email them at inconvenient times

Like for work moreso people will get pissed I’m sending emails or texts about stuff in the evening or middle of the night but I don’t know why

It’s a text or email so obviously just reply when it’s convenient

It’s not like I’m calling at 3am

Yeah I only have them on for a few apps but even then I’m on dnd half the time

It’s just weird to me that they think me texting them means I expect an instant response at 1am on Tuesday

cus they would prefer to read it at their time not when you sent it at night and they feel guilty or some other kind of emotion because they couldnt see it when they would want to so they could do it or something like that idk

It’s a text/email, not disruptive at all and if someone wakes up from just a notification like that then put your phone on silent at night, not my problem
