Why do people want to date someone funny

why would you date someone who constant tries to make jokes even if they were funny you'd get sick of them anyways because thats probably what their whole personality is
Imagine going out and the person your dating starts trying to make jokes to make a group of people laugh just stfu
Would rather be with someone who has like no sense of humour pr even a personality bc then they won't make shit jokes and they won't talk when unnecessary
I cant even imagine this future for me id rather someone just cut me up now

I don’t like when someone jokes around to avoid having a conversation, this is my brain:

No problems = play-time

Problem = remove it so we have play-time

If too much problem occur, it will corrupt the play-time

I have been in multiple relationships with someone with a “funny personality” and they are sometimes funny and are sometimes serious which is normal like for example they are serious when its appropriate and they are funny when its appropriate because they experience this thing called “moods” or “emotions” and sometimes they like to set a certain tone to have a certain conversation
