I am new to mewing and when i keep my tongue up for a minute it starts to hurt can yall give me some tips

are you squeezing it ?
it is not about squeezing the tangue and pushing it against the palate
it is about the vacuum you create in your mouth that will put the tangue naturally in its place

my tongue was just too far back and that's why i started to to feal pain.
