Why is American history so boring

Mf we learned about europe for half a year out of all 12 years of school. I don't care about the civil war and revolutionary war like we've been learning about that forever haven't even touched the war worlds. No body in my class could name 10 European countries I doubt even 5. I was called smart for knowing the dates of the WW2 and the cold war is that not common knowledge?!
