Rage Why is child "discipline" still legal and normalized

Literally in any other context, hitting someone with a broom or belt is a battery charge



But when parents do it to kids who are too weak to defend themselves, it's all of a sudden "discipline"


Like no n***a you're just a low iq ape who cant manage your émotions, so you hit your kid when youre angry at them

theres a fine line between corporal punishment and child abuse. children do not develop morally until later so spanking a child is a fair incentive to make them behave, as long as its not excessive

That's the entire point though, hitting someone for misbehaviour that they don't even know is bad is inherently immoral

Hum it’s well know that it affects the cognitive functions of your child and won’t make them learn from their mistakes at all. It’s illegal in most European countries I believe ( in mine atleast).

no, its the only way to make them behave. a toddler will not behave unless there is a punishment actively encouraging them to behave. they act on an extremely 1 dimensional moral plane. young children know wrong from right. they just dont care yet until they get a bit older. im not advocating for excessive punishment, but a light spanking is for the best in my opinion

nah man literally I have a theory majority of the time my mom beated me bc of her consistent regrets of her poor choices in men.
