why r artists old music always better

Anyone who says carti is a bad artist genuinely have never listened to any of his leaks

If n*****s stopped leaking his shit all the time he'd be wayyy more respected
he’s not a bad artists but his old music is so much better , nig took 3 years to release i am music

Yh I only really like Olympian and 2 other songs from that album. It's ass

Whole lotta red, Die lit and all of his leaks clear

It’s not really bad just boring it’s so over hyped
I will admit that it sounds very 2003, it wasn't ahead of its time or anything. But 50 popularized that singing/rap hybrid before someone like Drake caught on with songs like 21 Questions

Hating Jay Z is trendy, he is a very solid rapper with good flow, good punchlines, impressive he freestyles all his shit, good ear for beats, etc.
Not hating on him gang

I just feel like your top 50 rappers will just be from the '80s-'90s

@TryingToAscendorRope majorly influential/impactful rap albums (off top of my head, post ~1988):
  • Straight Outta Compton
  • The Chronic
  • Doggystyle
  • Illmatic
  • Ready To Die
  • All Eyez On Me
  • The Marshall Mathers LP
  • Get Rich Or Die Trying
  • Trap Muzik
  • Thug Motivation 101
  • Graduation
  • 808s and Heartbreak
  • Flokaveli
  • Finally Rich
  • DS2 (Dirty Sprite 2)

I agree but influence doesn’t make it good

I feel bad having the bottom 5 trap albums and nothing from Gucci Mane, who did a ton to pioneer trap, but he just doesn't have that one project to me

But influence doesn't make it good! I haven't listened to it in its entirety I will have to do that and report back.
I think you would like die lit more but tell me your opinions

No but i like some songs
What Up Gangsta might be my favorite off the album, or Patiently Waiting... In Da Club, Many Men, P.I.M.P., and 21 Questions are obviously classics
