I disagree. Although there is definitely women in the world who would date for leverage or settling, a mans physical appearance matters less than you think. (Data from evopsych backs this claim) What matters more for men is status, money, extraversion, how risk taking they are. Of course there is a threshold of you being so disadvantaged physically that you won't be able to get women at all, but I promise that no one here is. It should be in your best interest to train yourself to recognize women who aren't actually interested in you and recognizing red flags so you avoid women like this.

are you saying any guy that isn't physically deformed with money extraversion and status can have success with women ? and will it be genuine desire or her basically picking the safest guy to date ? because i feel like that wouldn't trigger sexual desire the way physical attraction would no ? not trying to argue genuinely asking your opinion

hypergamy just stems from reproductive instinct and mating choices , the way it evolved with modern society integrated things like status and wealth as well so a lot of aspect , of course it's exxagerated on social media not every girl fucks chad , but dating apps data are very interesting to see how women and men would make choices if it was purely based off of physical attractiveness since that's the only thing they can judge , this is the most conclusive study on it i bookmarked it a while ago lol

not representative of real life because of the factors i listed earlier like status and wealth , but still interesting to see the insane difference in judgement and men and women only judge physical attractiveness . the standards are obviously skewed and also a huge part of the population is on these apps so yes it's pretty representative
