Everyone has that one older fam member who complains about discomfort in at least 10 areas and suffers from 5 diseases all together, and when you tell them to visit a doctor they just shift the topic???? Brother go visit a doctor for fuck sake why you want us to feel pity for your stubborn ass?? Do they feel macho for being partially disabled

I think prevention and lifestyle should come first when possible but there’s definitely a point where medical care is necessary too.

They want to run away from that thought ig, my grandpa has been in a serious condition for about 2 months now and he absolutely hated staying in the hospital, the people at the hospital had to tie his arms to make sure he wouldn’t take out his iv and oxygen and try to leave, so from my experience they feel they are okay and if they go to the hospital they are not “healthy” So they don’t want to go so that they feel that they are healthy
