Hi, I’ve been using a topical steroid on my nose for the past couple of weeks and have seen very good results. Over the past few months, my face has also become more projected, and my nose currently looks good honestly, I would have been satisfied with this outcome years ago.

That said, I’m still planning to get a rhinoplasty in the future because I want the result to be as close to perfect as possible. I’m concerned about whether skin thinning from the topical steroid could affect my eligibility for rhinoplasty or negatively impact the final results.

Would it be better for me to stop using the steroid and wait until I turn 18 before pursuing surgery?

Ofc it’s my own opinion, but I don’t think it’s necessary. Because it’s your nose I think you’re probably about your side profile but I don’t think that is the thing that matters the most

I just want it to perfect, its really not bad though and its not really the side profile I just want it smaller. Thank you tho maybe I’ll change my mind later

Do you use hydrocortisone? Is it for the width of your nose or the tip? If so, what were your results? I want to use it but I see a lot of people talking about the side effects.

I have mometasone do you recommend that?
Used to use that actually, I think its a bit intense cause it created like really small red lines to be visible. I don’t reccomend unless you use like really small amounts with large recovery days in between. It’s much stronger than hydrocortisone

I did see results but I think I’m going to stop. I used on my tip, it got smaller. Theres this TikToker @haribrando446 go through hus videos he does hydrocortisone too and his results are so good, he has a tut.

So hydrocortisone well there’s potentially slower healing, and slightly higher risk of things like irritation but no it shouldn’t affect it.

Thank you, Honestly I’m just gonna stop the cream for my health just because of the side effects and just get the surgery in 6 months.
