I just want my own money to use for stuff I like mainly video games and shit which gets expensive plus I'd like to be able to surprise my husband on his bday and valentines day but I can't rlly buy him anything unless I have money

There should be no private ownership of money/things in a marriage. It's stupid. My wife and I have only ever had joint bank accounts, except for when we lived in China and it got harder for me to have an account there as a foreigner.

Have you ever thought that a better gift to your husband, something that he'll value much more than any stupid Valentine's day surprise, would be you not going outside of his house to be under the authority of another man? No man wants his wife working in a company answering to another man. It's about principle. I don't care what anybody says. If you really like video games let your husband buy them for you or just have joint bank accounts and buy them yourself.

If I get the job I want it shouldn't matter I'll just be designing games and I can be a freelancer to do that
