If a girl leaves her bf bc he lost a fight she's not secure in her femininity tbhLike your boyfriend is 5'8 and some 6'2 tyrone triea to hit on you and then somehow they start fighting & beats his ass would you break up because he lost the fight?
I favor short people in general. I don't knowwhat are these situations lol i wouldn't poor guy but also 5'8 is too short to being with
Could you explain how? I'm curiousIf a girl leaves her bf bc he lost a fight she's not secure in her femininity tbh
Long dnr post incoming because I took some time to formulate my reasoningCould you explain how? I'm curious
I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with anybody
Agree tbh, I read all of it too lazy to write a long reply but if everything was good and just that happened the GF is in the wrong imoLong dnr post incoming because I took some time to formulate my reasoning
The more correct position would be "then she's not secure in her views on gender roles" but that was too wordy to say. Healthy views on gender roles can be anywhere from highly compartmentalized (think traditional roles) to somewhat grey. Some people think the compartmentalization itself is unhealthy, which isn't necessarily true. For example, the belief that men are the emotionally stronger gender isn't an unhealthy belief on its own and is generally seen as true (women on the other hand play nice and are more emotionally in tune with other people's feelings. i'm not talking about individual anomalies, I'm saying for the most part this applies). Imo it becomes unhealthy when the compartmentalization stretches the concept of that gender beyond what is naturally feasible, by dehumanizing that gender and turning it into an inflexible caricature of itself. For example, instead of just stating that men are the emotionally stronger gender, its asserting that men must always be emotionally strong, and that women must always play nice and compromise. Then the moment a man cries or a woman raises her voice/gets angry, the image is broken.
So when I imagine the scenario of a woman leaving her bf because he lost a fight (not because he got into a fight in the first place and that was the last straw because she's sick of his anger and brazenness, or some other thing. Specifically because he lost), I imagine her to have had a very specific idea of masculinity and femininity. One where femininity must at all times be protected and where masculinity means they must at all times be the protector. Which simply is infeasible because every human on the planet need to shit eat sleep and have some level of dynamic agency and they aren't just some static role in someone else's book, and because sometimes, people just lose. And one single scenario should not be enough to overthrow the identity you constructed about him in your mind. If the identity is stable it should typically fall back into equilibrium.
So basically yeah, if your bf losing a fight is enough for you to leave him (assuming everything else in the relationship was going good) then your concept of fem/masc is pretty unstable and your security in gender roles suck. If we were to reverse the gender roles, and a man left his gf because his gf got into a fight with another woman and won, i'd argue that he's insecure in his masculinity, because there's a probable chance that he felt that she was too capable in being a "protector" and he wanted someone he would feel like he could take care of. That's just my feelings on this
Just for you my n***ayess plz
what ? nooo u got the wrong idea aha.. ..
Definitely, if he doesn't do anything then it's totally understandable, but like if he knows he got no chance and still tries to stand up for his girl even though he knows he could lose it's still not a reason to leave imoIt’s only fair to say yes, because as a man, it’s your j*b to protect. Sounds cliché, but it’s true. What’s worse though, and I’ve seen this in real life, is a man who doesn’t even try to fight. Losing is one thing, no one wins every fight, but not even having the courage to stand up, even when you know you might lose? That alone is enough reason to kick someone like that out of the house.
Yeah, if he fights like a lion, that’s what matters. But if he keeps getting beaten badly or loses almost every fight, then he’s a liability. A man like that can’t be relied on to protect a woman.Definitely, if he doesn't do anything then it's totally understandable, but like if he knows he got no chance and still tries to stand up for his girl even though he knows he could lose it's still not a reason to leave imo

It doesnt even say something about his physical prowess at that point, a strong/intelligent man will know which battles to pick and fight, someone who keeps fighting losing battles would be questionable to be with (unless its a scenario where the bf is constantly backed into a corner and has no choice but to fight then it should be looked at with a lot more nuance based on the context)Yeah, if he fights like a lion, that’s what matters. I completely agree with you. I did Muay Thai for a few years, and one of the first things we were taught was that the best strategy in any fight is to avoid it. De-escalation should always come first, fighting should be the absolute last resort. Especially on the street, there are no rules, you could be up against multiple people, and it can turn deadly fast. But what I’ve also learned is that if a fight becomes unavoidable, you have to stand your ground and give it everything you’ve got. Backing down in that moment, in my eyes, strips you of something essential as a man.It doesnt even say something about his physical prowess at that point, a strong/intelligent man will know which battles to pick and fight, someone who keeps fighting losing battles would be questionable to be with (unless its a scenario where the bf is constantly backed into a corner and has no choice but to fight then it should be looked at with a lot more nuance based on the context)
Ik andrew tate is a bit of a controversal figure and i think some of his takes are pretty dumb and sometimes he's just full of himself, but he did make some decent arguments. I remember one story he talked about which went something like this: he was waiting in line with his girl when two guys showed up and cut in line. His girl started complaining about it and he told her to be quiet. Another couple was in the line too, and that 2nd girl started complaining/dissing loudly to the two guys, and her bf didn't stop her. One of the guys went up to her and smacked her in the jaw and knocked her out. Tate's a pretty decent fighter and he knew the two guys were fucking trouble the moment he saw them and protected himself and his girl the least bit of conflict. So yeah. You don't have to be the strongest person out there but you better have half a brain cell and not put yourself into trouble just to prove a point
