Back a few decades ago, the parents of the men and the parents of the wymyn would have to mutually reach an agreement whether or not the marriage was sound and desirable. if both families decided they were fit (for each other) they would do so at a young age, and of course the priest of the church would supervise it. because of such rules and restrictions, whoredom (for both sexes) was self-limited, so chastity until the first partner was a thing, and children born out of wedlock were a shame to their parents and called bastards forever by society. without the patriarchal institution of the church we fall to an utterly degenerate state of mating which is dysgenic since modern couples do not self-regulate, their judgment (of each other) is nearsighted and limited in perspective leading to improper children, and of course casual culture leads to unfit bastards or people only deciding to have an unofficial 'family' too late, and this is how autists are born
