well they have always been racist, but there was an incident i forgot and south koreans started making fun of southeast asians comparing them to gorillas etc, then they claimed china was on their side and china said no + to make fun of inonesia they flipped its flag then poland got mad
 
Everytime somebody beefing with an EA country it’s always Korea the hallyu wave was a mistake
