yo fuck this surgery shit my mouth has been full of blood for 12 hours my gums have scabbed up but it cant harden because of my saliva and

yes but it soaks up all the blood and saliva and mixes with the taste of the gauze and im forced to swallow the mix of blood saliva and shitty gauze every 5 seconds and it constantly runs down your throat

Yeah I know, when I had my tooth extractions (which is quite minor compared to surgery obviously) I had to replace the gauze every five minutes before I gave up and just laid on my side and let it pour out of my mouth lmao I put a flat plate underneath the towel so it didn't get soaked onto my bed. I was too tired to keep replacing it but I was also too tired to keep swallowing so much blood and mucus.

I had some complications which is probably why it turned out so fucked for me at the time. I don't want to imagine what my jaw surgery is going to be like if that was just two simple extractions. :sadge: I wish you luck.
