Was in the ER shooting. I mean he survived obviously or he wouldn't live to tell the tale but he was sitting in a cafe that day and was there theoughout the whole shooting. He was alone though so not exactly Elliots targeted audience. That event was apparently part of the reason he left America for Europe.
