Begging on her knees to be popular

First, I go whip out the boat, no, I can't hit on no brakes
My life is out of control, I'm tellin' you, nobody safe
I've been livin' my life limbo, my ice, it came with a tray
I'm so high, I gotta hide my face, this not a rockstar phase
I'm a emo thug in my phase
Syrup, syrup, syrup, syrup, tell her to go change
Monkey nuts on me, baby, I got on two chains
Roll another blunt and I might motherfuckin' faint

i believe that people with that mindset of becoming shallow is as a way of self protection. they adopt the notion that looks are paramount, and while it is important, this can poison meaningful relationships. nowadays even when getting into a relationship, many "looksmaxxers" find that one significant goal is still not enough. some are convinced that if they fail to continually improve their appearance, their partner might leave them for someone more attractive. they think dating someone perceived as "below" them in looks is a disservice to themselves due to their efforts, while dating someone "above" them creates ongoing anxiety. they rarely feel adequate enough, and become shallow as the only way to put a scale or value to complex things. its their own belief system at play, really

its a cycle. im not saying everyone is like this, but a good amount. because they are constantly aware that unattractive people are respected less in society, they cant help but do the same exact thing, but consciously. im not sure if thats worse
