over the past day, people have been losing their minds over the supposed “orgstein” files, but the reaction is irrational. no one is going to prison over making jokes or simply "looksmaxxing," so the level of outrage makes little sense.

ive seen multiple threads claiming it’s unfair that users are being mocked or exposed for "just trying to looksmaxx," but that framing is dishonest. the problem with .org and why people hate it is the constant pedophilic language, r**e jokes, and sexist and racist behavior. that is why these forums and their users get ridiculed. most people involved are not innocent bystanders, and none of that behavior is required to access information or improve one’s appearance. yes, there are some people who are upset simply by the fact that users are using illegal drugs and promote blackpill ideologies. but for most people, its everything else.

everyone who joined discord servers, built social circles, and became recognizable figures did so voluntarily for socialization. i can understand why users who haven't done anything wrong might feel nervous, but realistically, nothing is going to happen. theyve done this fear mongering to 4chan for years

a reminder that to the rest of society, “incel” is an insult. spaces associated with incel culture will always be scrutinized, especially .org now since looksmaxxing has gone mainstream. these communities have a well-documented history of fostering bitter and pessimistic young people, even violent in rare cases. even if you believe this forum is different, the general public does not care to differentiate

im not against .org or .com, but the constant threads pretending not to understand why these spaces are “under surveillance” are strange at best. many are playing clueless as to why theyre being watched. nowhere on the internet is a safe space. its not just looksmaxxing. if you believe youre totally innocent of all things said than stop worrying.

a benefit to it going mainstream is that you won't be as shamed or ostracized for being here. the con is that normies lower the quality of discourse and generally suck the soul and meaning out of everything they touch.

maybe now it can really progress as a science and become more accessible since there's more interest and money involved. 90% of people still won't do shit but you can be better informed, more motivated, less alienated.

i think at the very least it has helped people not fall for beauty scams and products and know what things actually work, even if they dont try. for example, anything topical that has "collagen for anti-aging" is a mass scam for the past decade

its more like public shaming at this point. i do know a few 764 people got arrested but it was for good reason since it is a lowly space to be in. whats funny is thinking that its stopped since they got arrested. and any smart person wouldnt mock and threaten a group of degenerates before actually taking action. now people deepfaked porn of her on .org.

she's said it herself that she has no schooling or training for this and is just a random woman with a family and some free time to play undercover agent. i applaud her good intentions behind it to keep children safe though, but its not thought out or smart

Yeah nah if she was really trying to help she’d keep quiet + contact fbi/whoever to actually do something of significance
People don’t need to worry about being arrested or whatever, the shit that comes out of org is mostly speculation and even w 764 which had actual incidents of murder and other violent crimes only the most notorious/dangerous members got arrested, so even if there’s like 500 people named on these ‘files’ it’s not a huge threat or anything

i guess i see what you mean but i cant help but try to give her the benefit of the doubt that she is at least trying to do something good in some way, even when its a bad method. she could very likely be doing it for notoriety too. i think shes being not smart which shows a lot of it is ego too

i will say a lot of people decide that theyd rather dismantle these things themselves and then contact anybody if needed because the fbi or police will rarely look into an online issue if they cant immediately track the supposed criminals. it reminds me of a beheading video that went viral in vietnam and a group of online users figured out the victim and criminal through a whole bunch of sleuthing. the fbi only then got involved because it was reported that the offender was a potential communist, otherwise they really didnt care. same with this, as .org people are from all over the world.

its why a lot of pedophile catchers do it themselves too. they have to lure them and do all of the work basically to easily get them arrested.

A concerning phenomenon which occurred upon the youth back in the days of popular com groups was minors (usually female) voluntarily seeking out these kind of groups to willingly get extorted, whether it was for attention or status idk, it’s just insanely bizarre that someone would want to put themself in a position like that

I guess my point is that obviously these online spaces of incels and the manosphere are depraved of female attention, so when certain mentally ill women find out about these spaces, shit could get messy quickly
