Honestly romanticising is good for you if you direct it towards things that need doing but nobody wants to (e.g studying, work) as it gets you productive without much negative side effects tbf

put on a pretty candle and music and do a subject you actually like lol

Personally I spend a lot of money on good quality pens/books and also put way too much effort into my handwriting, if it looks pretty i get dopamine from it
