Many people think that the only way to becoming successful in life is by fixing every single bad thing about themselves but this is just bullshit. You'll just put unrealistic expectations on yourself and end up disappointed.
It really doesn't matter if you masturbate twice a day or doomscroll for 5 hours straight or do meth or crack. The only thing that's stopping your improvement is doing literally nothing. Until you're doing something productive you'll find success. Like you could be smoking weed while studying and your grades will improve, or you could goon for hours and do your job you'll get the money.
So many successful people were literal pieces of shits, many leaders were functioning alcoholics, promiscuous or had a generally bad perspective in life yet they got successful in their respective fields.
What I am trying to say is that your addictions aren't stopping your improvement, your stagnant nature is. You can be a drug addict and make a ton of money if you put in work and never touch anything and be broke if you don't.
I myself have noticed the most improvement when I ditched fixing every single shit in my life and focused on what was necessary to get me going.
