As of late I've been playing my fav mobile game: Hinge

A trend I've noticed is that many guys want a girl who has hobbies they align with their own. Examples being gym, video games (marvel rivals), smoking.

So why do men have the same standards for girls in this aspect as they would for friends. A friend is someone who one would want to share hobbies with. I never see girls say they want a man who is into shopping or makeup.

A girlfriend is not just a partner but a friend too. Isn’t that obvious? It’s easier to click that way. It’s way better when you share a hobby, bonus points if it’s one you can both geek out on. Me and my girl love anime, it’s how I started the conversation with her when I first met her

Having a gf isn't just about sex or going out shopping and using their money as it seems to be for women. We're all lonely out here. We need someone to spend time with. Much more simple than you might think.

Yeah I'm nd and think everything is much more complicated than it is. Do most men actually feel genuine loneliness from not dating? Even if you have friends? I don't understand it

Although friends are great, it just isn't the same as having a gf. Imagine after a long day of work, no matter how shitty your day was, you're comforted by the knowledge that someone who loves you is eagerly waiting for you. Ngl, through hs, a black girl and later on an asian had a crush on me (very obvious). I don't like them at all, but whenever I would feel bad, just knowing that someone out there would be so happy to even just see you is very comforting. I'm bad with words tbh and can't really express my point.
This song is kinda also why I want a gf, recommend you pay attention to the lyrics:

I see what you mean. Unconditional love sorta thing. I just feel out the loop. It would be my nightmare for someone to love me more than I love them. But it is nice to have someone in your worst and best.

Also for some reason I know the lyrics to that song by heart and I didn't even know it ...

but isn't your partner/gf/bf first your friend and then your romantic interest like both? having a good friendship is important--love alone isn't enough,I'd feel good indulging in my BF's hobbies

I'm in a point in my life where my gf took me out for shopping lingerie

My ex female best friend was like that 😭 why why why i fucked it up

why do you regret it, you got a gf now right?
I didn't have any feelings for my ex-bestfriend i just treated her like trash because 10 years ago i was a pos tbh, while she was caring for me...

Cuz men were raised on the notion that relationships are just friendships with sex(tv shows, media). Women want a man to complete them and provide for them primarily (cuz they're moochers and insecure)

Women want to be treated as an extra resposibility generally

Because men have actual hobbies

I don’t go on dating apps but I don’t really care about shared interests, though a shared music taste would help (for concert-going purposes).

I mean idk. It makes sense now but i dunno. I dont expect a dude to like anything that I like and I wouldn't want him too either

I only go for scientific research. But I don't even care for shared music honestly. I don't like other people listening to my music, it embarrasses me
