Should I take another dose of Accutane? I’ve taken it before twice, with a doctor. I’ve got oily skin partially due to well the obvious reason is genetics and the other is that I live in a country with hot and wet humidity. I’m also a boxer which would make me sweat even more causing more oils. I’m using Skinfinity right now, 1 AC control AcnoWash, 2 AC control AcnoGel, 3 AC control AcnoMoist, and Skinfinity Sunscreen SPF 50 60ml. My skin has been acting up recently and I’ve consulted with my doctor, she gave me an acne gel and an acne cream. But it’s unlike Accutane it only gets rid of the outside pimples and so on. While Accutane would actually get rid of the bacteria inside and so on so I’m looking for your opinion. (I’ve had acne in the past and many breakouts)

Probably not worth it if you have taken it twice and acne is still coming back. The goal of Accutane is basically to permanently stop acne so if it hasn't done that after two times I wouldn't recommend it. Plus it causes joint pain so it would make boxing harder

I've taken 10mg, then my doctor reduced it to 5mg.

Ohh. See I took 80mg and that was not fun so I was assuming you had a similar experience. Well in that case it maybe worth one more low dose treatment, but definitely let this be your last
