My period causes bloat 20250328_153605.jpg20250328_153645.jpg

I am terrified...my somehow clear skin was my only "flex"💀😭

Either gut inflammation (who always happens during periods) or you use a topical something on your face and your body didn't like it
I didn't use anything. My period pimples usually appear on my forehead and near my brows💀

Period acne, don’t worry abt, some girls are usually more receptive to periods like my cousin herself, she experiences really extreme period cramps

Acne breakouts, especially those that are red and flat, that occur around your period are often referred to as "period acne" or "hormonal acne" and are caused by fluctuations in hormones during your menstrual cycle, leading to increased oil production and clogged pores

How do I get rid of it? Never occured before. It is very itchy

Nothing unusual or new...I have thought about that as well.
Ok, but i think it's gut inflammation due to your period. I don't think the estrogen spike during periods could cause unusual acne

My gf have things like that sometimes but it is reduced since i make her eat probiotics and increase her iron-based foods

    • Gentle skincare: Use a gentle cleanser and avoid harsh scrubs or products that can further irritate the skin.

    • Targeted treatments: Consider using topical treatments like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to help reduce inflammation and kill bacteria.

    • Lifestyle changes: Reduce stress, get enough sleep, and maintain a balanced diet.

    • Consult a dermatologist: If your acne is severe or doesn't improve with over-the-counter treatments, consult a dermatologist for personalized advice and treatment options.

Well you don’t have severe acne anyways so no need to consult a dermatologist, use salicylic acid and also maybe niacinamide, a good cleanser and moisturiser will help ya

Well it is obviously not severe...it is like 2 small areas but it appeared out of nowhere. No chance it could be actually an irritation? Also why it goes away and it comes back and so on...I mean this all happened between like 7am-2pm💀

Did you touch that part of your face with something ? Like a sheep wool clothe or

I wash my face
Well then try to follow a simple three step skin care routine:
A cleanser: it should contain salicylic acid to clear out the oil and dirt build up, I would recommend cetaphil.
A toner : could be vitamin C serum or maybe retinol or niacinamide toner to reduce inflammations, restore collagen and brighten skin.

Moisturiser: a simple moisturiser containing beef tallow or hyaluronic acid would work
