Anti Depressants wroth it?

I have been struggling with depression for more then a year now and never went to get it check since I know I will instantly get prescribed anti depressants, so anyone with personal opinion that took them before did it even help you? I've heard a lot of stories that it makes the situation worse.

im on antidepressants they work for me but it really varies depending on the person

Yes, theyre great. I love my antidepressants, they keep me alive. You js gotta make sure to find the right one for yourself
