i like how you included "hunnic" separately from "turkic". watch out, turks will have a meltdown if you bring up how there is no conclusive evidence the huns spoke a turkic language

i appreciate the effort.

but turkic peoples are defined as speaking turkic languages. this does not inform on their language. all it shows is what we already know. the huns had a north-east asian component. modern day anatolians have a northeast asian component as well.

the huns could have also spoken a mongolic or tunguscic language. turks and crimean tatars cluster closer to mongols and manchus than brits or germans. doesn't make turkish people mongols, or mongol people turkish or turkic.

that map is about genetic proximity, not cultural or linguistic facts. the huns had considerable ancestry from east eurasia, we all know that.

i know i know i still see them as turkic even tho there isn't much proof i don't get offended if anyone says otherwise tho

They are Hunnic, east asian. Not Steppe turkic. Just like Hungarians and the other uralics are not turkic. The only reason Magyars have any turkic is due to us absorbing the fleeing Cumans/kipcacks, avars in 900 and due to us working in the steppe federation with both Huns and Turkics.

In legend, Hungarians are the descendants of the Huns and Scythians.

big emphasis on the "in legend"

saying the magyars worked in the steppe federation with huns and turkics is shaky. the timeline doesn't exactly line up with the attilla the huns period.

Then where were we in the last 1500 years? Just running about in the hills? There is a reason why the Cumans and Kipcachs and even Avars came to us first. A kindred knows one another.

Even though we have countless pagan theologies and relations to the scyathians and some genetic links to the Huns and other smaller groups. I think we do. We are one of the very few races, if not the last who still believe in the miracle stag which was scyathian in nature.

so medieval hungarians had a steppe-style origin myth. that's what you're showing.

it does not prove descent from the huns, or genetic or linguistic or political continuity. you'll find similar motifs across groups that iranian speaking, like the scythians, or mongolic or turkic groups. it doesn't map neatly onto ancestry.

genetics doesn't rescue the claim. steppe populations mixed constantly. “Some shared ancestry” does not mean “we are them”.

and the hungarians showed up in europe in the late 9th century. the hunnic empire collapsed in the mid-5th century. thats a 400 year gap.

We are the true descendants of the sumerians and atlantians. We are God's chosen. I just want my land back.
