I’m going to try and get on sleeping pills. I am writing this at 6:31 AM by the way, and I haven’t slept yet. As you can tell, I’m in dire need of them.

I daily dose melatonin for over 10 years + take trazadone. I have an ambien prescription but never take it

Just kill the spider man
Hahahaha. It has disappeared but I've grown a liking to it. I have three more tiny spiders in my room but I think they're cute.

I read that melatonin doesn't help, but trazadone does. I hear that Ambien might be the best one out there. How long does it take for you to fall asleep?

I'm AuDHD so insomnia comes with territory, recently it takes an hour to sleep even with melatonin + trazodone but normally I would say 20 - 30 mins... if I take no sleeping meds probably over an hour and a half... Ambien has scary side effects fyi

I wish i fell asleep in an hour bro what. Takes me 4-5 hours bare minimum

That's disgusting
At least I don't sleep alone anymore. I accept the company of any living organism, whether it's spiders or people. Preferably spiders.

What are the side effects of Ambien? And jeez.. still takes an hour to sleep! My brother is on sleeping meds too, and he says it takes 30 minutes to fall asleep. I always thought sleeping pills worked within 5 minutes but I was wrong.. any pills that do work that way? Or drugs maybe?

I would do legit anything to fall asleep in an hour. No offense but is that what you guys are complaining about. i legit feel euphoric when it takes me only one hour to fall asleep
That's honestly terrible. What time do you go to bed? Do you have any obligations? Have to wake up early?

Also no sleeping pills dont necessarily take 5 minutes. I've had days where I slammed down 3mg of melatonin combined with 3 pills of magnesium and then not slept whatsoever

Ambien can cause sleep walking, sleep eating, sleep driving, but it is GIGA rare for that to happen... basically it is like a memory eraser and blacks you out though. I am not sure of any that work within 5 mins, I took Xanax once a few weeks ago and it just calmed me but didn't knock me out. NyQuil works well for me but it is easy to build a tolerance to it

I had an old psychiatrist say that some studies say less is more with melatonin, like 0.5 mg or something... I never bothered to try that low of a dose though

Melatonin and magnesium aren't sleeping pills btw. I googled around while looking for sleeping pills and that's what the sites said.

My brother has a prescription for Xanax and sleeping pills. I plan on taking these pills sporadically if I am given them. Only on nights when I don't think I'll be able to sleep. Sleepwalking is okay for me since I keep my doors locked.

oh true. But yea back when I was in school I slept well. Although I still don't think it took me 10 minutes to fall asleep. I feel like it took me 45 minutes to fall asleep back then and i was fine with it. Idk how some people fall asleep in 10 minutes

Lunesta is another one that is supposed to be good and is in same drug family as Ambien

It's funny though because when I mention my sleeping habits people recommend me melatonin. You would be jealous of my brother and how quickly he falls asleep. He can just lay in bed, close his eyes for a minute and he's out cold.

I wonder if the doctor here will give me a prescription. Probably not but I will give it a try.

It's been 10 years for me now. What about you?
1 and 1/2 months I am supposed to go into intensive mental health treatment program soon and then I will probably get job again

That sounds good man, good luck with that! Take it from someone who's NEETed for a decade... being a NEET isn't good.

How to obtain these, do I need a prescription or is it just drugs? In any case, how long does it take before you can knock yourself out?

you can just get them from the pharmacy by buying them, either as allergy meds or sleeping pills depending on your country. takes abt 30 mins to kick in but it will be the deepest sleep of your life although idk ive never taken a dose below 500mg 😅
