Personally I see no reason to fear death itself, unless if its in a painful way, death itself never scares me, not many people can be dead for over 100 years and still be remembered, what's the point of fearing death?

No

I'll go to hell
So you fear dying because youre feared of your own actions, and youre belief is if you've made mistakes that you go to a bad place for eternity, full of torture, although humans aren't and will never be perfect

only cz ill go to hell
I'll go to hell
You both fear death because your religious beliefs tell you that your imperfections will lead to a eternity of torture, although its human nature to be imperfect, I'll just assume youre both Christians, your god himself has commanded people to murder women and babies, since the lord commanded them, are they going to hell for their actions or heaven for listening to gods commands?

I'm not christian

im not christian either
what do u mean by God has commanded people to murder women and men?

"Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

I believe its similar for all abrahamic religions, they punish human nature and scare people with "if you did bad things, youre going to be tortured in hell/jahannam" I'm not sure about Islam but I believe in abrahamic religions, "your god forgives" so if he forgives you, why fear death?

im a muslim, not christian and im not educated on christianity enough to say anything ab this
my God hasnt commanded people to kill anyone or anything unless for valid reasons
also sinning =/ going to hell as long as u repent and try to be better, its not ab ur actions only also ur intentions/mindset
God himself knows humans arent perfect cz He created us

He doesnt forgive everyone cz all the lives lived in this world would be useless
He knows best ab everyones situation and judges based on that whether a person goes to hell or heaven

So why do you fear death? If you repent, and are faithful to your belief, why would you fear death?

Isn't that judgment day or smt?

So why do you fear death? If you repent, and are faithful to your belief, why would you fear death?
Im not faithful but i try to be
I repent but occasionally go back to same old habits, sometimes i feel guilty ab it other times idc and ignore God
im not trying well enough to be someone who deserves to go to heaven, sometimes on purpose so yk
and idk ab other similar religions but in Islam, if u go to hell it doesnt mean ull stay there forever, some have eternal punishment, some could have it for days/months/years or wtv time currency exists there depending on ur life here, after which u go to heaven

So instead of your god trying to help you stop your habits by giving advice in the quaran, he scares you into guilt and makes you feel worse if you go back to your habits?

Nearly died multiple times the next one will be fatal i think, can't be that lucky

I'm speaking from a place where I don't have much knowledge of Islam but what I do know is on the supposed judgment day, the sun is supposed to rise in the opposite direction, all the text in all quarans in the world is supposed to be wiped etc, that's objectively impossible, me personally i take religious stories and look for the truth in them, I believe all religious books are stories that teach life lessons but people take them too seriously which results to many things, fear, guilt, etc.

Same, I've almost died I think 8-10 times now

So instead of your god trying to help you stop your habits by giving advice in the quaran, he scares you into guilt and makes you feel worse if you go back to your habits?
Theres advice in Quran which is 100% His words
theres also hadith books which arent 100% but there are different versions some are more authentic than others and they include sayings, teachings, actions, etc of the Prophet that can help me be a better muslim but also js as a person
but its my fault if im js not doing what im supposed to or not trying enough, God doesnt scare me into guilt He guides me to do good/better and comforts me when im upset
He gave me procrastination and laziness as a test (and wtv else), i have the choice to fight my problems or js let them control me
Its not God's fault, its mine (influenced by sheytan) and why would i go against God? He created me so why would i not obey, He's perfect and im not, He has all the power i have none

Tbh me too
Im born and raised muslim but i didnt believe until 2-3 years ago and still i havent educated myself enough which is why i try to avoid talking with anyone ab it bc i cant argue well
But yeah theres mutliple signs of the judgement day, minor and major signs a lot of them are happening rn
These some signs mentioned in the Quran (100% authencity) and some mentioned in other books (<100%authencity)
I actually thought about this the other day: some sources say all the text in the Quran will wipe out like u said and everyone will forget whatever islamic stuff like all the verses/surahs theyve memorized or prayer they will forget all of it so they wont be able to worship anymore, but then again i remember i had seen another hadith that said that the day of judgement wont come until the last muslim on earth has died so it wont happen until theres 0 muslims and those two kinda contradict eachother but like i said hadith books/other islamic books arent 100% only the Quran is but it doesnt have everything in full detail which is why there would be different interpretations

also i was gonna say it in the other post but i forgot
A lot of the things Allah has commanded or suggested are good for humans in general like its not only ab worshipping Him but about being a better person in general

Personally I see no reason to fear death itself, unless if its in a painful way, death itself never scares me, not many people can be dead for over 100 years and still be remembered, what's the point of fearing death?
So I believe in my religion and I believe that there is Heaven and Hell.

Honestly, I often commit sins and wrongdoings, so I’m afraid of dying without being prepared for death.

The fact that Islam teaches you to be better is good, but I'd have to disagree with "he gave me laziness and procrastination as a test" youre not born lazy, you become lazy overtime, so he didn't "give you laziness" you gave yourself laziness, procrastination and over thinking comes from life expirences, you could theoretically say "god made my life expirences in such a way that I became a over thinker and procrastinator" but god gives free will so that's a slight contradiction, while you could be influenced by sheytan theoretically, I feel that its more human error and emotion than a higher being messing with your mind

about u saying that those signs like the sun and wiped out texts are objectively impossible
idk what to say to that cz like ur right
God has all the power so He can do anything but thats more when u have belief in Him, idk how to logically explain it sorry not educated enough for that

So I believe in my religion and I believe that there is Heaven and Hell.

What religion if I may ask?

He gave me the experiences and environment (and the free will to make my own choices in whatever situations ive been) that make me who i am now, part of that is me being lazy and procrastinating so yes He did give me laziness and procrastination
and thats not me blaming Him or making it sound bad, He gave me a test not sufferring, i can try to be better for Him and for myself

even if i wasnt a believer of any God/religion, i would still want to have as good of a life as possible and i would put a lot of effort to achieve it even tho sometimes i might fail or lose hope

Like you, I don't care about the pain during death or death itself, but what I fear is my fate after death.

I hope God forgives me.
Ameen
i feel the same
might be corny to say ts but ive wanted to rope several times and was very ready to only thing that stopped me was my afterlife

I might understand environment since god could set your birthplace, but if you have free will, shouldnt alter expirences in a favor of something, giving someone free will without altering anything would be a better and smarter test than trying to lead them a way by altering things for expirences, that's where I still have to say that its not god giving you over thinking, your free will causes your life expirences that you've chose to give you overthinking

Remember that Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

And who knows the unseen? Perhaps you have done a great deed in the sight of Allah, and because of that He may admit you to Paradise without reckoning or punishment.
@trueceljester
im not tryign to convert u rn but lets js say u did, all ur sins are gonna be erased and ur gonna be like a newborn baby, if u die rn ull go to heaven
and for people who have alr been muslim, they have the chance to repent sincerely (Allah understands and He forgives) or even go on Umrah/Hajj which also purifies u from ur sins. ofc still depends on ur intentions/mindset

@trueceljester

Do you know that people who never heard about Islam, or to whom the message of Islam never reached, or even those who only received a very distorted image of Islam, will not be thrown into Hell? Instead, Allah will test them. These people are usually called Ahl al-Fatrah.

Islam does not prevent you from living your life. You can enjoy life, but you must maintain balance between your life and your religion.

I've been multiple beleifs I'll be honest, I was born christian, I've been satanic, agnostic, atheist and I had a period in time where I was Muslim, my friend converted me, me and that friend stopped being friends after some horrible shit happening, but even when I was trying to convert, everyone was against it, even the teacher had a problem, so I eventually left islam fully, I'm quite uneducated on it since I never really had the chance to learn the quaran in the time I was Muslim.

As ive said above, I've been previously Muslim, whatll happen to me in your belief?

Allah gave me a birthplace and birthtime, parents, ethnicity, gender, etc literally everything that differentiates me from others
We're all different and have different situations, we might have similar lives yes but never compeltly the same

Lets say for example my parents, theyre very strict, unfair and sexist towards me, this wasnt my freewill i didnt choose to have exactly these two ppl as my parents, God gave them to me
How my parents raised me affect how i think and make decisions so even tho i technically have free will i get limited options cz of whatever kind of a life (environment and experiences) Allah gave me, and the reason that i cannot make an actually free choice is because He is testing me
He gave me limited options from which i can freely choose what to do (for example in this case, stay with my parents and deal w them, or leave and have a better life, or any other choice) i cannot somehow make my parents better or change their way of thinking etc, thats what Hes testing me with

He gave me problematic parents and the free will to do whatever i want with them, and whatever *I* choose to do affects MY life

im kinda repeating the same shit sorry i dont know how to argue ffs

I don’t know whether you are still Muslim or if you have left Islam due to your discussion with Monsieur Meow, but regardless, I want to tell you something important: you will not enter Hell simply because you have sins.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

«كل بني آدم خطّاء، وخير الخطّائين التوابون»
“Every son of Adam is a sinner, and the best of sinners are those who repent.”

And in the Noble Qur’an, Allah says:

﴿وَخُلِقَ الإِنسَانُ ضَعِيفًا﴾ (النساء: 28)
“And mankind was created weak.” (An-Nisa 4:28)

Therefore, Islam does not say that you will enter Hell simply because you have sins.

Even if your sins are more than your good deeds, you may be punished for a period of time and then enter Paradise.

As ive said above, I've been previously Muslim, whatll happen to me in your belief?
Like i said i havent learned enough ab islam even tho im born and raised muslim

sometimes i think ab people who got bad lives as children (bad alcoholic drug addict parents, poverty, ugly appearance even, etc these arent the only bad things ofc) and that makes them hate God, what happens to them?
Its not their fault
but idk i have to reasearch ab that

Nah I understand, but according to that you don't have true free will, youre limited to options, and many variables go towards the hypothetical "free will" options you have which would be impossible due to many variables

Thats the test, i have limited choices but free will between those choices

i question this too tbh esp w ppl with diseases, sa/r**e victims, etc

Gods are all powerful, all knowing and present everywhere, so he knows the outcome of everything you'll ever do in your life, you don't, so there Is a possibility there's been times where god has altered your path without your knowledge, but thats a weak statement with no evidence, but potentially possible, it can never be known but possibility is that he did, which I don't believe is free will, again though this is a pure hypothetical and weak argument.

What i meant by free will wasnt exactly like free will cz like i said we only have limited choices
And God knows everything thats gonna happen like u said and nothing will change it. its all written, everyones lives like those who are dead, those who are alive rn and those who havent been born yet, everything is already known to Allah and nothing can change it except him and i doubt He would change it unless
In some cases, dua aka prayer (= i ask for smth) can change my life or parts of my life even if originally it wasnt gonna be like that thru God's will
