SHBG is a protein in your blood that can bind to testosterone which renders it useless. Theres a difference between free and total testosterone that being, free testosterone can actually go to androgen receptors in target cells. So lowering SHBG can be beneficial to higher free testosterone

6-12mg of boron ED has been proven to lower SHBG.

Carbs also lower SHBG by inducing lipogenesis in the liver which then down regulates HNF-4a which then lowers the plasma level of SHBG

That's why many carnivals usually have low free test on their blood work, they're not eating carbs
