INB4 water is wet reply, I want to make a simplified guide once and for all on nasolabial fold guide.

Those lines on the side of your mouth are nasolabial folds. They are generally very unnattractive to have. They only make you more attractive when you are an older male and lean, otherwise you need to prevent this from happening.

Example of an older male looking good with nasolabial fold:

Causes : Bad fat pad genetics, excessive fat distribution in the cheeks, recessed maxilla ( very rare and I will explain why ) and lack of collagen.

Note : Even though you have a recessed maxilla or shit fat pads, if the main visibility of nasolabial folds are caused by creasing then you can still absolutely reduce visibility with the simple methods below.

Tretinoin


A cream that is considered a retinoid. This cream is used for anti-aging, treating acne and stimulating collagen within the skin. This means tretinoin eliminates acne, gets rid of or reduce wrinkles and prevents skin from aging, by prevention of formation of wrinkles. Tretinoin is prescription only and that is for good reason. Tretinoin can cause skin to flake, meaning your skin may peal and BURN. This is rare however if you use the product correctly.

A pea sized amount, apply only at night once every three days for a month. DO NOT apply near your undereyes and eyes. After 2 months, apply once every two days.
If you experience skin peeling, discontinue for a week and two and continue again, your skin will build resistance. Star at lowest concentration.

Leaning down

Self-explanatory. Getting lean can reduce fat in your cheeks and jaw, causing less nasolabial folds because the fat pads are what causes the look.

Eat smaller portions, do your cardio, eat wholefoods and a high protein diet. Track your diet on a website called Cronometer to make sure you are getting a full micro nutrient profile. Avoid artificial sugars and zero calorie drinks, they are unhealthy for you, absolutely devoid of nutrition and will tax your digestive system, keep your body clean, treat it like a temple. Drink water if you are thirsty, if you ache for flavour, make lemonade or drink sparkling water.

Derma-stamping
Derma-stamping improves collagen production in skin and increases the efficacy of Tretinoin. DYOR for this one and find a product you trust. There are derma-rollers, derma stamps, derma pens etc so DYOR and come up with a solution you think is safe and effective.

Collagen Supplementation


Self explanatory, collagen supplementation increases collagen within skin, proven. This will reduce the effect of the creasing. Collagen is good for other things to like joint support and muscle tissues.

Red-light Therapy

Includes shining light at a specific frequency to cause biological changes to the cells of our body. [1] The wavelengths needed are between 600-700 nm. Doesn't make too much of a drastic change on collagen increase but is a one time investment for long therm therapy so worth it in my opinion. Can be used on other parts of the body. Can be combines with methods described in my Ultrasound Cavitation thread for treating stretchmarks and anti-aging.

PDO threads

A cosmetic procedure that can add support from within the skin. Can be used to treat nasolabial folds, bad undereye support, wrinkles etc. Check out guides from Orc from .org to learn more about them. They can be done DIY. Personally I think this is a last resort. You can get significant gains from above methods. I can attest to to that, that is how I fixed my terrible skin and nasolabial folds.

Note : Left out some other methods because they aren't worthwhile.

I might be working on a project soon, where I compile every single bit of information I know and slowly make threads on each one, for example : Medial canthus frauding, undereye line makeup, PED's to get leaner, supplements.

Then I would combine all of it into one huge thread by linking them altogether since I have alot of free time on my hands and practically no social life.
 
I think I only had them when I was fat then lost them when I lost weight

stop cooking your mogging my threads so bad😡
 
helpful and the only criticism i would make is that when you use tretinoin and you start to peel that means its working, keep going
if you stop and do it a week later like OP suggests then you are essentially achieving nothing

I forgot to make a distinction between tret peeling skin and excessive skin peeling from a nuked skin barrier
