how can i tell if its because of skeletal (recessed mandible) or dental (js an overbite) reasons (or both)

im going to an orthodontist soon enough for a proper evaluation but i wanna figure out how over it is asap

i know i have an overbite at least and im getting that fixed soon enough but i need to know if my jaw itself is also recessed

when i jut my jaw it looks okayish
when i smile it looks perfectly fine

im scare d of possibly getting genio so if this isnt fixed with braces im blowing my shit smoooooth off
