Why Fix Coloring?

Looking better can come down to contrast and balance:

  • Skin tone vs hair color vs facial features
  • Defined features = more attractive + and more eye catching

Skin Tone

Natural Tanning

Pros:

Looks the most natural

Builds natural, believable color

Free

Cons:

Takes a long time

Potential sun-damage

May take even longer depending on location and season

How to do it right:

Start with 10–20 minutes per side

Go every other day

Use SPF on your face to prevent aging

Self-Tanning (personal favorite)

Pros:

  • Immediate results
  • No sun damage
Tips:

Apply moisturizer/lotion before to get even skin tone

Apply after shower + exfoliation

Blend neck, ears, hands carefully

Peptides

You might hear about things like melanotan.

If you’re under 18 don’t inject iqlet

If you are going to, keep in mind the sides and research dosing (I’ve never used it)

Hair Color

Going Darker (Especially Black or Near-Black)

Why it works for most guys:

Increases contrast with skin

Features look sharper

Looks thicker and fuller

Keep in mind pure jet black can look harsh on some people

“Soft black” or “dark brown” is often better

Who Should Go Darker??

Light/medium skin almost always looks better darker

Thinning hair darker can appear fuller

Adds intensity

Tips for Dyeing Hair

If you don’t want it to look fake, don’t use permanent use semi

If you don’t care like me just use a whole box jfl

Keep eyebrows in mind (see below)

Eyebrows & Eyelashes & Sclera

1–2 shades darker than your hair

Why:

Frames your face

Makes eyes stand out

Can masculize slightly

Brows

Fill lightly or tint (don’t block-fill)

Focus on:

  • Tail ends
  • Sparse areas
  • Rub aquafore/vasoline before dying to not stain skin

Lashes

Slight darkening = more eye contrast

Not obvious, but very effective

Sclera:

Whiten Sclera with eyedrops at your local pharmacy.

Look for red eye relief in the US

Beware of Bounce back redness
