Hi everyone, I need more participants for result saturation!!!

(P.S Thank you to all my participants, yall are great help, love you all <3)

(Special bonus if you're also on .org and .gg!!)

I am Min, a master’s student from Utrecht University conducting research for my thesis on how young men experience body modification and body images within online looksmaxxing communities.

I’m looking to speak with people aged 18–25 who are familiar with looksmaxxing.

I’m interested in hearing from all types of participants, including:
  • Those who have tried high-commitment or physically demanding looksmaxxing methods (i.e., methods that go beyond basic grooming or 'softmaxxing’)
  • Those who have considered more extreme methods but have not tried them
  • Those who participate in the community but choose to stick to safer/basic approaches
  • Those who have left the community or distanced themselves from it
The interview will:
  • Be confidential and anonymised (no real names, usernames, or identifying details will be used in the thesis)
  • Last about 45–60 minutes, conducted via Teams call and/or email interview
  • Focus on your experiences, views, and feelings—there are no right or wrong answers
Participation is voluntary, and you can skip any question or stop the interview at any time without giving a reason.
If you:
  • Are 18–25,
  • Have experience with looksmaxxing communities.
  • And are interested in sharing your perspective,
Please send me a private message or email me at [email protected] so I can share more details and arrange a time that works for you.

(P.S, For anyone and everyone interested: No, you don't have to show your face! Voice recordings will be deleted and destroyed upon transcribing! All identifiable information is anonymized and redacted! You can be introverted or extroverted! You can be Greys to Chromatic! I accept and welcome all participants as long as you are male and age 18 - 25! You can be an incel or not, a blackpiller or not, a redpiller or not.)

(P.P.S. Your
participation would make a meaningful contribution to an area that has received very little academic attention. This is one of the first studies to explore looksmaxxing from the perspective of those who have lived it. By sharing your experiences, you could ensure that the voices of community members are represented in academic research, rather than being spoken about without input)

Thank you for considering taking part in my research! Feel free to reach out to me :)

I understand your point but also it's not really THAT niche. Most people know about looksmaxxing and clavicular. But when it comes to internet subculture, you will always have people studying about it (such as punks, skinheads etc), and I am that person for Looksmaxxing.

Atp anything on the internet is open for normiefication (or the 'mainstreaming' of information). The publication of my paper is grounded on personal recollections and experiences. It's fine if you disagree with it.

You will not find anyone worth speaking to here on here or on org or gg

it’s all children be it physically or mentally
n***a I love to disagree with you… your wrong and stupid

you’re black though so it like doesn’t really matter
Genuinely, how does someone's race play into the validity of their experience but ok. You dont have to participate if you don't want to; it's on voluntary basis.

The only way to test if someone is a *REAL* looksmaxer and thus blackpiller is if they’re a race realist.

You cannot stare into the abyss that is genetic determinism in any meaningful way without becoming a race realist. Denial of this simply shows you do not belong in these spaces as do 99% of the users now found in these places.

You seem to be very knowledgeable about this. Want to do the interview with me?

Bumping this! Please know that everything you share will be treated with care and confidentiality.
There are no right or wrong answers. The interview is a space for you to share your perspective openly and without judgment.
